Nicoleta Taylor was born in Transylvania, Romania, and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in her forties. Her name reflects both her Romanian heritage and her American present.
While living in communist Romania, she found solace in books. In elementary school, she avidly read any novel she could find during those challenging times, imagining herself as a secret traveler witnessing other worlds. It was during this period that she also began writing, focusing mainly on poems and fairy tales.
At the age of 14, she won ”Someș Literary Presences”, a Transylvanian poetry contest, setting a record as the youngest poet ever to receive such an honor. By 18, she was among the top three finalists in the 1989 ”Mihai Eminescu” Romanian Language and Literature National Contest, which inspired her to pursue a B.A. in philology with majors in Romanian and English.
After becoming a mother to three children, life's challenges in Romania temporarily halted her writing. In 2010, she married her American soulmate and relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, with her children, where she rebuilt her life and reignited her passion for writing.
In 2011, she achieved national recognition by placing third in the ”Text Construct” Romanian National Contest of Poetry and Short Prose with her works The Last Bus and The Wheel of Fortune.
In 2021, Nicoleta was invited to contribute to the American collective book Wisdom of the Silver Sisters - Guiding Grace, a #1 Amazon international bestseller, recipient of the Firebird Award, and Barnes & Noble's pick for Biggest Books of the Fall. The success of this book led to a second volume in 2022, Golden Wisdom of Love Legends and Legacies, another #1 Amazon bestseller, marking another milestone in Nicoleta's writing journey.
On Earth Day 2022, she published her debut poetry book, Terrans: To MotherShip Terra's Stewards, with Love, which swiftly became an Amazon bestseller. The collection poetically transmits the reflections of a human passenger aboard MotherShip Terra, our planet, intriguingly blending science fiction with spirituality.

Alongside her literary pursuits, Nicoleta has developed and teaches courses on Romanian language and culture, garnering outstanding feedback from her American students. She also serves as a Romanian translator, interpreter, and proofreader for various clients, including Duolingo, the world's leading language-learning app.
